Publication Ethics
Author Ethics
Authors submitting manuscripts to Hymnos: Journal of Christian Theology and Religion must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Any form of plagiarism, including writing that does not properly cite sources, is strictly prohibited. Authors must also acknowledge the significant contributions of all parties involved in the research, including funders or collaborators, and ensure that all relevant co-authors are included in the work.
Editor Ethics
Hymnos editors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript review process is conducted objectively, fairly, and in a timely manner. They must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not use information in the manuscripts for personal or organizational gain. Decisions to accept or reject manuscripts are based solely on the relevance of the content to the scope of the journal, the academic quality, and the clarity of the presentation.
Reviewer Ethics
Reviewers are expected to provide objective and constructive reviews to help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts. They must not disclose the contents of manuscripts to third parties or use information from reviewed manuscripts for personal gain. If there is a potential conflict of interest, reviewers must immediately report it to the editor and withdraw from the review process.
