Abstract

Penggunaan kata μυστήριον dalam Efesus 3:1-13 telah banyak dikaji melalui perspektif kesatuan Yahudi dan bukan Yahudi, multikulturalisme, pelayanan Paulus, maupun identitas gereja. Namun, perhatian yang berfokus pada isi rahasia cenderung menyisakan pertanyaan mengenai tujuan teologis pewahyuan rahasia dalam perkembangan argumentasi Paulus. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis tujuan teologis μυστήριον dalam Efesus 3:1-13 melalui metode eksegesis yang memadukan analisis konteks, struktur argumentasi, serta kajian leksikal, morfologis, sintaktis, dan semantis terhadap teks Yunani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa μυστήριον tidak berhenti pada penyataan partisipasi bangsa-bangsa lain sebagai sesama ahli waris, sesama anggota tubuh, dan sesama peserta janji di dalam Kristus. Pewahyuan tersebut bergerak menuju pemberitaan Injil, pembentukan komunitas baru, serta penyataan hikmat Allah melalui gereja kepada kuasa-kuasa surgawi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa tujuan teologis μυστήριον terletak pada perwujudan rencana Allah yang sebelumnya tersembunyi melalui keberadaan gereja sebagai sarana penyataan hikmat-Nya. Gereja dipahami bukan hanya sebagai penerima rahasia, tetapi juga sebagai medium pelaksanaan tujuan Allah dalam sejarah.
